Veneers are very thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by our master ceramist. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a beautiful and attractive smile. Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating many dental conditions.
REASONS FOR PORCELAIN VENEERS:
- Cosmetically, to create a uniform, white, beautiful smile.
- Crooked teeth.
- Misshapen teeth.
- Severely discolored or stained teeth.
- Teeth that are too small or large.
- Unwanted or uneven spaces.
- Worn or chipped teeth.
WHAT DOES GETTING PORCELAIN VENEERS INVOLVE?
We start with our initial consultation where we envision your new smile and what the final result will look like. This information is communicated to our master technician, who creates a blueprint of your new veneers in wax on models of your teeth. Before any treatment is even started, we get to look at and evaluate this blueprint together to make sure it’s what we had in mind.
Once the teeth are prepared, a “trial smile” is created in temporaries on your teeth that are a duplicate of the wax blueprint. This way, we see a preview of the final results directly on your teeth before we order the actual veneers. You’ll get to leave that day with a beautiful new smile. If you feel that the “trial smile” is already perfect, we will simply duplicate them in the final veneers. If you feel like anything needs to be tweaked, we will communicate that to our master ceramist who will make those finishing touches on the final veneers.
Once the final veneers are ready, we will remove the “trial smile” and look at the final veneers on your teeth. Only once you are fully satisfied will the veneers be bonded into place. This attention to detail is what ensures that you will be happy with your final results.
