About Porcelain Veneers
Dental veneers are often contact-lens thin, porcelain restorations that are as strong as natural enamel and give us the ability to correct imperfections such as chips, gaps, stains, and teeth misalignment. We also utilize porcelain veneers to reshape, lengthen or shorten teeth and create stunning smile makeovers that rejuvenate a smile.
At our office, we use our years of experience and mastery of esthetics along with our Master Ceramist to create a customized smile for you that looks absolutely radiant and yet feels completely natural.

How Can Porcelain Dental Veneers Help?
If you are looking to correct a major or even minor imperfection in your smile, porcelain veneers can be a great option. Certain things we eat and drink, as well as dental injuries and the natural aging process can all have a negative impact on our teeth and smile. Porcelain dental veneers can correct both aesthetic and functional conditions such as:
- Stains and discolorations
- Teeth misalignment
- Uneven smiles
- Worn down teeth
- Short-looking teeth
- Gummy smiles
Using state-of-the art techniques and materials we can give you a beautiful and healthy smile.
The Benefits of Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain dental veneers play a major role in the custom smile makeover process and they offer a great advantage compared to the options available in the past. Porcelain veneers allow us to take a very conservative approach in reshaping your smile. In years past, dentists had no alternative but to place crowns. These crowns looked great but the majority of the natural tooth structure had to be removed. With advancements in dentistry and dental materials, a trained, experienced cosmetic dentist using a Master Technician, can preserve almost all of the natural tooth structure while still creating a picture perfect, natural looking smile.
Every porcelain veneer procedure and smile makeover is a custom process starting with a personal consultation. During this consultation, we will take time to get to know you, your goals, and answer all of your questions regarding the procedure. We will examine your teeth, gums, and mouth to determine if porcelain veneers are the best option for you. If porcelain veneers are the best option, you will be just a few appointments away from the beautiful smile you’ve dreamed of!
The Porcelain Dental Veneers Procedures
Once we are ready to start, we will take a molding of your teeth and instruct our Master technician to create a blueprint of your future smile with a custom diagnostic wax-up based on what we had discussed.
Just like planning to create anything that is meant to be beautiful and to last, we must start with a blueprint of the final result in mind. This mock up will also be used to make your “trial smile”, and to ensure we achieve the final result we strive for. Unfortunately, many dentists who are not properly trained, or who cut corners, skip this step. But we believe that meticulous attention to detail will produce the most successful and beautiful results!
On the follow-up treatment appointment, we will use the diagnostic wax up to create your temporary veneers and give you a “trial smile” based on the initial blueprint we created. The great thing with the “trial smile” is that you will already leave with a beautiful new smile that day. If you feel that the “trial smile” is already perfect, we will simply duplicate them in the final veneers. If you feel like anything needs to be tweaked, we will communicate that to our Master Ceramist who will make those finishing touches on the final veneers. This attention to detail is what sets us apart and makes us successful in achieving the perfect smile for you.
Unlike the show Extreme Makeover in which the dentist gives the patient a mirror and says “It’s time to see your beautiful new smile,” you will actually see the veneers before they are permanently cemented. The “trial smile” is removed and the new porcelain veneers are placed on your teeth for you to evaluate before they are bonded into place. If we feel that the smile can still be improved, we can place the “trial smile” back on until our Ceramist makes the changes we have requested. Once we are satisfied with the final results, the porcelain veneers are bonded into place, giving you your fabulous new smile.
Our Master Ceramist
Porcelain dental veneers are fabricated by a dental technician, or ceramist, in a dental laboratory. The skill of the ceramist is critical to the outcome of your smile makeover. What separates our porcelain veneers and smile makeovers from other cosmetic dentists are not just our extensive training, experience and expertise, but also that of the Master Ceramist we work with. Our Master Ceramist has also gone through years of additional training, has been educated on the high level of quality we expect and has created over 20,000 beautiful veneers!
